American Leather is one of our go-to companies that we highly recommend to our clients. So of course, it was important to us to have a piece of American Leather furniture in our space. Here is why we love it so much…

American Leather is a founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council, a non-profit organization that promotes and encourages sustainable practices in the furniture industry. Sustainability is something we take very seriously at Sprinkman Design Collective! 

American Leather’s wood is sourced from sustainable forests and manufactured by creating as little scrap as possible. What is left over is reused or recycled. All leather is environmentally friendly and uses water-based pigments. Similar to the wood manufacturing, American Leather reduces the number of leather scraps, and anything leftover is reused in the production of smaller leather goods by other manufacturers.

And what’s super important is their environmentally friendly cushion foam, a soy-based BiOH® Polyols Renew™ that is entirely recyclable! Lastly, all American Leather foam, leather, fabric, and Ultrasuede® have been completely free from fire retardants since 2014.

Swing by for a visit and sit on our yummy new butterscotch leather sofa. We accented it with a super cool Moroccan-inspired rug that is hand-woven from 100% jute. The design features a linear braided detail that makes a subtle but striking statement.
