Refined Retreat
As designers, one of our most important focuses at all times is functionality. From full floor plans to best navigate a space, to selecting and placing cabinetry to maximize storage and ease, to choosing furniture and fixtures that fit the clients preferences and usage types – it is always on our minds. This beautiful home we worked on wasn’t optimally functioning for our clients in a couple of key areas. That’s where Sprinkman Design came in. We flipped an unused room to an unforgettable closet, and updated an underutilized office space into a bar.
Primary Closet
We don’t know about you, but our closet dreams started when Cher from Clueless debuted hers back in 1995. Since then, we have always loved a good closet transformation! Taking an unused room that was connected to the primary suite, we worked with one of our partners to create a gorgeous, partially separated, his and hers closet.
Timeless cabinetry and hardware now is installed atop a lightly patterned, neutral rug. A darker, contemporary, plain-faced wood option was chosen for his side; while a lighter, painted out transitional option was featured on hers. On one end sits a vanity with a cream onyx mirror and hand-rubbed antique brass sconces, while the other side has storage underneath a bright window. The center has an island with a chandelier above featuring a cinched, snow white twine shade belted by antique brass. A can’t miss is the subtly patterned wallpaper on the ceiling!
Bar
Here again, one of our partners stepped in to help implement the vision of transforming an unused office space at the entry to a super cool bar to better host friends and family. We leaned into achieving a moodier, bolder look through our selections of a black leathered countertop and deep wood cabinetry with black hardware. The large pendant above works to lighten things up whether on or off.
Dining Room
While we can’t take any credit for the unbelievably gorgeous dining table and chairs (don’t our clients have phenomenal taste?), we were happy to help update their light fixture. The tapered metal shades and vibrant gold arms of this selection creates a chic and stylish feature worthy of what they had in place below.
