Floral Flair
When the Sprinkman Design team isn’t transforming our clients’ homes, they will often dabble in updating their own. Our Business Manager, Mary, began with a home office overhaul. This project was a celebration of personality, merging traditional details like wainscoting and gold accents with an exuberant floral wallpapering to create a workspace that is uniquely Mary. Thoughtful ergonomics were incorporated through a highly adjustable Herman Miller chair and a sit/stand adjustable desk. This room graduated from an underwhelming, disjointed gray box to a haven for creativity and focus.

Pet Spaces
Mary’s pets are a big part of her life (most days, her pretty pup Bellini can be found curled up under her desk at the SDC office!). Like many well-loved furbabies, they like to be wherever she is, so her office needed to include spots for them to stay. Bellini will often curl up on the furry orthopedic pet bed next to the desk, while the cats prefer the soft pink chair. By far their most favorite place, though, is the boucle bench that sits at the height of the window so they can watch the world go by together. These thoughtful additions not only enhance the office’s charm, but add a touch of warmth and companionship to the work environment.
Details
This office is packed with lovely details. The key piece is a welcoming, classic armchair that sits in view of the entrance to relax the workspace. The fabric is a supple pink velvet with a textured, neutral boucle bolster pillow and cozy throw blanket. Gilded finishes on several items feel upscale and charming, and small birds adorn the mirror and curtain rod for a touch of whimsy.

Architectural Millwork
The millwork was a key piece in transforming this room. The chair rail, wainscoting, and paneling brought life to the flat walls, and the rich, deep green paint selection elevates the finished product.
