Modern Warmth
This project was a first floor renovation for a lovely couple who were tired of the dark, broken up spaces in their home. With a key wall removed at the entrance, the space – as well as the possibilities – opened up nicely. We helped our clients to prefer white countertops over black, fall in love with refined furnishings, and incorporate perfect places to feature their incredible art collection. Their house is now bright and open, oozing a traditional, understated elegance.

Kitchen
One of the most unique parts of their kitchen is the curved counter endcaps, one by the living room and the other connecting to the dining room. Based on intended duration of use as well as traffic patterns, stools were selected with cushion and lumbar support for one side, and to fit completely under the counter on the other end. The client fell in love with a unique black tile during the sourcing process, so it was incorporated in a feature coffee bar. Perfect artsy pendants and a newly open plan with visibility to the back windows made their kitchen bright and inviting.
Living Room
The living room is arranged to face the feature fireplace. Our furniture, side tables, and area rug were selected to work with their unique leather sofa. The swivel chairs function to enjoy the ability to conversate with those on the sofa, turn to look to the fireplace and TV, or face out the window.

Art
The Ramsey clients were big art collectors, having an impressive collection of sculptures and vases. Open shelving by the fireplace and well-lit cubbies of various sizes were incorporated at the front of the kitchen to feature their best pieces.
