Modern Waterfront Retreat
This project focused on transforming a beautifully established home into a space that felt more reflective of the homeowners who live there. Working alongside the client, we selected furniture and decor that complemented their existing pieces, touching nearly every room in the home.
Because the homeowner loved the creative process, each decorative piece was carefully considered and reviewed together, ensuring every selection felt meaningful and aligned with their personal style. From filling empty shelves with collected decor to layering in textiles, artwork, and accessories, every detail was chosen with the intention of telling their story.
We styled the completed spaces, including shelving, bedding, towels, and other finishing touches throughout the home. Whether selected by our team or previously owned by the client, each item was thoughtfully arranged to create a cohesive and inviting environment.
The result is a home that feels collected rather than decorated and is a true reflection of the homeowners’ personalities and memories that make their space their own.
Entry
First impressions are everything. A hand-selected wool rug with a subtle pattern introduces the home’s warm palette, while the layered decor adds personality and sets the tone for the spaces beyond. The statement modern console table was selected to echo the metal finishes found throughout the home, creating continuity across the design.
Living Room
In the clients’ expansive living room with stunning lake views, we added a few pieces to round out the existing furniture. The custom upholstered ottoman features an inset tray, providing the perfect balance of function and comfort. It offers a place to set drinks while still serving as a comfortable footrest for the oversized sectional. Decorative accessories were thoughtfully selected throughout the space, adding personality while complementing the home’s modern aesthetic.
Kitchen + Dining Room
This stunning space is open to the living room and continues the views to the lake. We therefore created custom dining chairs and barstools in soft blue tones inspired by the surrounding waterfront, subtly connecting the interiors to the landscape beyond. Decorative objects, glassware, and accessories were styled throughout the kitchen and dining spaces that strike the beautiful balance between collected and effortless.
Primary Bedroom
While the visual hero of this room is the views of the water, a close second is the luxurious custom upholstered bed in a rich, navy blue fabric. Modern nightstands and a coordinating console table reinforce the home’s clean architectural aesthetic while offering functional storage. Plush blue velvet accent chairs provide a cozy place to read or unwind while echoing the tones of the bed, and the decorative accessories add refinement.
Guest Bedroom
In the guest bedroom, the custom bed takes center stage. Featuring graceful, curved lines and supple deep, turquoise velvet; it is the perfect complement to the artwork throughout the room. Beside the bed are naturally textured, linen-wrapped nightstands, adding warmth and softness to the modern furnishings.
