Meadow Side Refresh
Our clients had built this home together as newlyweds and began raising their family here. When they came to Sprinkman Design, they had begun looking for a new home and were torn between a move and a renovation. Luckily for our team, the sweet emotional ties to their home won out, and we got to help redesign their kitchen to better suit their busy lifestyle.

Flooring and Paint
A mid-toned wood floor was selected to run throughout the entire main floor, which served to better connect the spaces and make the home feel larger. The team selected a neutral, calming wall color to allow the kitchen cabinets to pop, and updated the ceiling paint to a crisper white to allow the vaulted ceilings to feel more lofty.
Layout
A simple move of the fridge reduced traffic jams and opened up the space for an additional countertop pantry. By keeping the wall between the kitchen and the living room as our clients preferred, we were able to add an additional countertop pantry for storage of large appliances. The position of the adjacent countertop is in the perfect location to whip up a cocktail for their guests when entertaining since it is immediately accessible from the dining, living, and kitchen.

Finishes and Details
To elevate our clients style, we selected a beautiful mid-toned cherry wood and a deep, saturated blue. The mixture of materials and finishes created a dynamic and layered space, and the mix of stained and painted cabinetry allowed for us to seamlessly blend the new design with the existing trim in their home. The space is finished off with brushed nickel pulls, a soft veined quartz, a textural, glossy brick backsplash, and two large scale milk glass pendants.
